Transforming patterns into possibilities...

About

My approach to therapy is integrative, informed by my doctoral training in psychodynamic, interpersonal, and cognitive-behavioural traditions that offer different ways of understanding emotional suffering and psychological change. Rather than relying rigidly on a manualized approach, I aim to work thoughtfully and collaboratively, drawing on these perspectives in a way that is unique to you.

In therapy, we can focus on developing practical strategies for managing current challenges, while also exploring deeper emotional and relational patterns. Sometimes, the past lives quietly in the present until it is understood and experienced in a new light. Often, the ways we relate to ourselves and others have roots in earlier relationships. Bringing these patterns into clearer view can open the possibility for greater self-understanding and change. I sometimes use projective assessment measures to guide therapy.

I aim to offer a space where you can feel understood without judgment, reflect more deeply on your inner experience, and engage with difficult emotions in a way that feels meaningful and manageable. In this way, therapy is not about advice-giving but increasing your own internal capacity to navigate decisions and competing priorities.

Psychological therapy is not simply about symptom reduction, but living with greater authenticity and connection to self and others.
